2007 Retreat

TIMEOUT RETREAT 2007 took place in Malibu, Ca and was designed as a one stop source providing women with the tools to take their health and well-being into their own hands in a culture where women often find themselves putting everyone first before themselves. The first retreat served as a fundraiser to gain funds to pay for alternative treatments and holistic/integrative medicine for TIMEOUT RETREAT creator's cancer-stricken mom, Beatrice Lelie.

 

TIMEOUT RETREAT creator Tamara Lelie’s vision for the retreat was inspired after watching helplessly as countless friends including herself struggled with achieving balance in their lives.  Her hopes were that this retreat would gain awareness for the female cause and help more women commit to prioritizing their health and well being.

Her mom was her strength and the ultimate inspiration behind all of this since she was the epitome of selflessness and unconditional love.  Beatrice Lelie passed away on January 10th, 2008. TIMEOUT RETREAT is her legacy of love.
